NEWS: New Short Story, Game Grid Open, Finding your local Community - Malediction

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Math Rocks,

Malediction have sent out a fab update including a short story to help whet your appetite to enter the world and for additional extra world flavour, alongside news on a new event, how to find your local community and the play network.

Here we let them explain everything in their own words:

Malediction grows every time Seekers gather around a table and venture deeper into Selejia. This week, find your next event, connect with a local store, and follow Londriel into a new story.

Play Network, Deckbuilder, Achievements

The new Play Network brings your Malediction account, Deckbuilder, events, and Achievements together in one place. Find official events, submit your deck, and have your participation recorded as you play.

Official events may also offer Organized Play Kit rewards, including Alternative Art cards, pins, and initiative tokens.

Finding your Local Community

Local game stores are where Malediction communities meet, learn, and grow. Use the Store Locator to find a partner LGS near you, discover where other Seekers gather, and support the people building the game in your region.

Search by city, country, or store name and find your local community.

Game Grid Open

Malediction is coming to Game Grid Open at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, Utah, from Oct 2, 2026, to Oct 4, 2026. The Malediction tournament begins Saturday, Oct 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. local time. Admission is free.

Short Story

Londriel once carried Quinvala’s favor. Now banished from her homeland, she carries the title of Spellwarden and the responsibility that comes with it.

A routine inspection at an automaton facility in Arrecife quickly becomes something else. Workers handle volatile Liastrum, official answers come too easily, and the deeper Londriel looks, the less ordinary the assignment appears.

When law, power, and duty stop pointing in the same direction, a Spellwarden must decide which one deserves her spear.

This piece is written by Tiago Bonifacio and be read here.

All the Best,

ThunderMouser
