We love to play wargames and to be honest, we're still in shock at the full announcement from One Page Rules who, alongside a ton of fabulous creators, have brought all gun's blazing to the fore in a battle royale with over 18 Creators, who have all brought newly designed mini's for the 54 Warbands that you can pick from (over 500 miniatures) which utilised the Grimdark Future: Firefight and Age of Fantasy: Skirmish rules by One Page Rules.

We saw this and just had to let you know about one hell of a collaboration, 18 Miniature Creators have come together to create 53 Warbands Using One Page Rules' Army Forge.

Amongst them, our friends, Crippled God Foundry, Warmachine, Mammoth Factory, Piazo, Titan Forge  and so many more.

With so many miniatures (over 500 STL's once it launches) we can't wait to stomp into the fray with our usual choice of Troops, the Orcs, or in this case, The Iron Orcs.

WARGAME NEWS: Half-Distance Mode Now Available on Army Forge! - One Page Rules

 

We love to play wargames and at times space can become really tight and you feel that you can't get a game in at home.

What One Page Rules announced today, means that things can be a little different and you can have a ton of fun at home without worrying about not having the table space.  Here's what they had to say:

Sometimes it' s difficult to find one of the recommended 6’x4’ or 4’x4’ tables to play on. But with the newly released Half-Distance Mode in Army Forge, you can move your minis from the game table to the kitchen table, living room table, or more! Using the salt and pepper shakers for terrain, however, remains optional. 

Originally released as Kitchen Table Games in the Advanced Rulebooks, Half-Distance mode lets you play on smaller tables by simply halving all the distances used in the game. Movement is 3 inches by default instead of 6 inches, all ranges are halved, and all distances in every special ability is also halved. The OPR Team uses this mode of play frequently, including at our most recent all team meeting in Lisbon last year.

But we found that having to do all the math in your head, while easy to do, often slowed the game down or was sometimes forgotten in the heat of the moment! With the option now built into Army  Forge, our free web app that supports all of our games, playing on a tiny table will be a breeze! 

All you have to do is turn on the option in the Game Settings menu and all the math on your units will be halved automatically!
