LATEST NEWS: Halo Flashpoint Fast Grow Campaign and Prize Draw - Mantic Games

With today being the beginning of Mantic Games Halo: Flashpoint Fast Grow, we wanted to bring the latest news in regard to this, with so many creators behind the scheme if you're a massive Halo fan, now is the time to help grow your forces and prepare for glory on the battlefield no matter which side you favour.  Here's what Mantic had to say in regard to this campaign:

MORE THAN 40 CREATORS JOIN GLOBAL HALO FLASHPOINT FAST GROW CHALLENGE

Mantic Games is inviting Halo Flashpoint players around the world to pick up their brushes for the Halo Flashpoint Fast Grow Challenge, beginning Friday 23rd October.

The challenge aims to turn the idea of a traditional “slow grow” on its head, and presents hobbyists with a simple mission: choose a Halo Flashpoint Fireteam and get it painted over one week and two weekends, finishing by Sunday 1st November.

Players of every experience level are welcome, whether they are painting their first Halo miniatures, tackling an existing pile of unpainted models, or adding something new to an established collection.  Full details are available here.

More Than 40 Creators Taking Part

A major line-up of hobby and wargaming talents will be painting alongside the community, with more than 40 channels and creators signed up to create content around the challenge.

Participants include well-known names such as Dana Howl, Broadsword Wargaming, Peachy Tips, Hellstorm Wargaming, Guerilla Miniature Games, Carl Walmsley, Crabbok and Sonic Sledgehammer Studio, along with many other talented creators across YouTube and Instagram.

Creators have already begun sharing their plans, Fireteam choices and hobby content ahead of the starting gun.

How to Join In

Getting involved is very straightforward:

• Choose some Halo Flashpoint miniatures

• Start painting from 23rd October

• Aim to have them battle-ready by 1st November

• Share progress using #HaloFastGrow

There is no requirement for the Fireteam to be game-legal – Mantic wanted to make sure that the Fast Grow is open to everyone, including newcomers who may not yet be familiar with the game’s list-building mechanics.

An optional prize draw, supported by The Army Painter, will also give one eligible participant the chance to win a Speedpaint Wargamers Mega Set 2.0.

More information about the prize draw can be found here.

A Big Moment for Halo Flashpoint

The Fast Grow Challenge arrives during a major period of growth for Halo Flashpoint.

The game has expanded throughout 2026 with new UNSC and Banished releases, a

community-shaped v1.5 rules update, growing organised play activity and, most

recently, the reveal of Judgement, the upcoming expansion that brings the Covenant to

Halo Flashpoint as a full new faction.

Earlier this year, Mantic also announced a major extension of their tabletop licensing

partnership, securing years of future Halo releases and additional games.

With new miniatures arriving, the player base continuing to grow and the future looking

bright, the Fast Grow challenge is designed as a simple way for players to experience

the fun, speed and accessibility of Halo Flashpoint for themselves.

Join us as we paint together – everyone is welcome!"

LATEST NEWS: Warmachine: New Releases, App Improvements and Release Dates: Cryx Necrofactorium - Steamforged Games

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Rocks,

Warmachine from Steamforged Games, this weeks releases from Tuesday and Wednesday is getting us into the feels this week as the Undead are taking over.  With the Cryx Armada STL's launching yesterday.

Here's what SFG had to say:

"The Cryx Necrofactorium has risen with a refreshed range of boxes, giving you a new way to raise the dead, grow your forces and send your enemies screaming back to the grave, only to be risen again. Following the positive response to the Army Box format introduced with Dusk: Fane of Nyrro, we’re bringing the same approach to Cryx.

The new range is available now, so there’s no need to wait for the next full moon. Unleash the Necrofactorium's undead horrors today!

Cryx Necrofactorium – A new way to raise the dead

Ready to dig up a new army? The refreshed Cryx Necrofactorium range brings together three Army Boxes, a new Command Set and individual light and heavy warjack boxes. Whether you’re starting your collection from the ground up or adding a few more nightmares to the horde, there’s now a clearer path from your first models to a full-blown legion of the dead.

Each Army Box contains a complete force of around 50 points, ready to shuffle straight onto the battlefield. There are three different boxes to choose from, each offering its own mix of models and playstyles. Pick your favourite, or combine boxes as you work towards a 100-point army. Building your forces has never been less of a grave undertaking!

Legions of the Dead

Join the Legion of the Dead.

Lord of Damnation

Serve the lord of damnation.

Wraithbinder’s Host

Take your place in the Wraithbinder's host.

These replace the previous Cryx Necrofactorium Core Expansion and Auxiliary Expansion, giving you a fresh way to build your forces.

Fresh boxes, familiar horrors

Already commanding Cryx? Keep your thralls close. Your existing army isn’t going anywhere!

The models themselves remain fully playable. This is a reboxing refresh, not a resurrection of an entirely new range. We’re simply giving the existing collection a new format that makes it easier for newcomers to get started and veterans to expand their undead ranks.

There are a couple of things worth digging up, though. The Mechanithrall Swarm Warden, released last month, now joins the Legions of the Dead and Lord of Damnation Army Boxes. Legions of the Dead also includes a new set of variant-sculpt Mechanithralls, giving collectors another way to customise their shambling hordes.

Want those variant Mechanithralls without buying the whole box? They’ll also be available separately through warmachine.gg and your local Warstore. No need to raise the whole graveyard if you only want a few more bodies!

Boneyard Keeper and the warjack boxes

Not every aspiring necromancer needs an army-sized horde on day one. Sometimes, you need to start small before the dead start piling up.

The new Boneyard Keeper 30-point Command Set replaces the previous Command Starter, providing a smaller force and a great way to get to grips with Warmachine. It’s a solid starting point for new commanders ready to discover what makes Cryx Necrofactorium such a terrifying force on the tabletop.

Prefer your undead with a little more machinery? The new Malefactor heavy warjack and Raptor light warjack boxes replace the previous Battlegroup Box. Both include all available loadout options, giving you the freedom to build the configuration you want.

What happens to the old boxes?

Even the dead have to make room eventually.

The previous Command Starter, Battlegroup Box, Core Expansion and Auxiliary Expansion are being discontinued. Once existing stock runs out, those boxes will shuffle off this mortal shelf for good, although you may still find them at your local game store while stocks last. Find out more in this article.

New app version release

We’ve been working behind-the-scenes on a big app update including bug fixes, general clean up, and quality-of-life improvements.

This includes a major fix for the “Startup Failed” bug that’s been preventing some folks from using the app. Otherwise, it’s a bunch of little improvements that add up to a lot.

Some highlights include the addition of single button damage tracking (where you’ll be able to tap the heart to fill the bar) and the introduction of a brand new bug reporting form which you can access through the app menu, to make it even easier for us to track and resolve issues.

Pending iOS and Android store approval, we should see the update green lit for launch in the next couple of days. Please note this is a whole new version release, not a data release, so you’ll need to fully update your app when it lands.

Monday October 26

Warmachine 3D live preview – November Tribe drop

Join us on YouTube for a live preview of next month’s STL drop!

Find out what goodies (or baddies, depending on your perspective) Tribe subscribers will be getting in November, and get the first look at some new model rules while we’re at it…

Tuesday October 27

First Menoth release – Defenders of the Flame Command Set

All those faithful who’ve been patiently awaiting salvation can rejoice, because Defenders of the Flame releases next Tuesday!

Accompanied by the Revenger and Crusader warjacks, also releasing Tuesday, this blessed drop heralds a blazing new age (if Feora has anything to say about it). We can’t wait to see all your paint schemes and battle reports!

If you picked up the army bundle from warmachine.gg, you’ll also be receiving the exclusive Four Gifts cards in the Classic edition colourway.

Refresh yourself on Defenders of the Flame rules to get ready for their arrival.

Last chance for Fanevania Ashmael MiniCrate

Every month, MiniCrate brings you a new alternate sculpt: a Warmachine character that's been reimagined, produced in a single limited run, and fully playable in your army.

Ashmael went full vampire in the October MiniCrate, and what better way to celebrate the spooky season?

You’ve got until October 27 to grab this limited edition warcaster variant before he disappears into a cloud of bats. We didn’t think Fane could get any more extra after the Warmachine 3D extreme variants dropped, but alas…

Wednesday October 28

New MiniCrate – Llaelese Liaison Locke

Every month, MiniCrate brings you a new alternate sculpt: a Warmachine character that's been reimagined, produced in a single limited run, and fully playable in your army.

Available from October 28, the Llaelese Liaison Locke variant (try saying that five times fast) represents Locke’s time spent travelling between Ord and Llael following the Infernal War, and her role as a secret observer for the Convergence of Cyriss while serving the Crucible Guard.

Locke sees her work as a form of devotion to her goddess, Cyriss. She’s careful to redirect the Guard away from Convergence holdings in Llael to protect her erstwhile allies.

So far, she’s been spared the choice between her two loyalties, finding ways to achieve the Crucible Guard’s goals while also serving her faith. Whether this remains possible in future is yet to be seen.

LATEST NEWS: Daughters of the Crucible: Guns and Rosaries Sovereign Tier Reveal Update - Heroes Infinite

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Maths Rocks,

Heroes Infinite have just sent a new video of all the extra miniatures that you get when you sign up for their Sovereign Tier.

And whilst we always go for the sovereign tier ourselves, we wanted to let you know what it brings, all for an extra $8 over the lowest tier.

Firstly you double the amount of miniatures that you get. For example, newly posed heroes like Taquita Bang Bang, a miniature with guns, beauty and is framed by the bullets within the image.

Or the Matadora collection who come with alternate heads (Pictured below) who would look magnificent on your battlefield, especially for alternate games like the forthcoming Black Death City, or even something like Necromunda as an alternate Escher Gang or finally as representative minaitures for your own Sisters of Battle leading the charge and looking fierce whilst doing it.
Each of the miniatures are pretty unique and of course for the painter within, a challenge that once achieved would look magnificent and something that very few other miniature lines out there do, bringing femininity to the battlefield.

For us, the stand outs of the Sovereign Tier this month are the two Diorama's that they have created, firstly the Gunslingers Benediction which has a very Desperado feel for us and is of course something that we would absolutely adore to tackle and of course, if you have a kick-ass order of Warrior Nuns, you need to see them battling their opponents forces which comes to the fore in the second Diorama, Blessed be the Bullet, Each if something that will look fabulous on your shelf or as a central piece of scenery on your table.

As usual we wanted to also remind you of the other tiers and their cost so you can make your choice if these miniatures have tickled your fancy.

There are three price tiers and this is what you get under the Leader Tier ($10)

9-10 Heroes
3 Dynamic Troopers
1 Epic Centerpiece
14+ Scenic Bases
2 Monsters

Whereas if you take out the Overlord Tier ($16) you will get in addition to the above:
Additional 15-20 new Troopers to create 5 different units
Exclusive alternative versions of Heroes and Monsters
Mind-boggingly extensive Modular / Scatter Terrain
Exclusive additional models for our Heroes Infinite Overlords, such as Mounted Heroes, Monsters, and more.

Finally there is Sovereign Tier ($24) where you'll also get:
Additional 15-20 new Troopers to create 5 different units
Exclusive alternative versions of Heroes and Monsters
Mind-boggingly extensive Modular / Scatter Terrain
Exclusive additional models for the Heroes Infinite Overlords,
such as Mounted Heroes, Monsters, and more.
And on top of this, you ALSO get 40+ models:
Additional 30-35 new Troopers to expand 6 existing units
Exclusive alternative versions of Heroes and Monsters
Exclusive additional models such as Mini Dioramas and more.

We hope you'll love these as much as we do.  We can't wait to see what others do with them.

All the best,

ThunderMouser
