PROJECT UPDATE: Spawns of the Mindrender - Elderbrain

Having heard from our friends at Elderbrain, there have been updates on a couple of their projects so we wanted to bring this news to you directly in case you're a backer.

Here is what they've had to say in regard to their kickstarter projects:

"Greetings Hive Mind,

The coils have tightened, the final edits are complete, and Coils of the Worm Undying, our special adventure by legendary Forgotten Realms creator Ed Greenwood, is finally ready — and released to all Spawns of the Mindrender backers!

🧠 You Shaped the Adventure

This adventure began with your votes. We asked the Hive Mind to choose the ingredients, and the community shaped the encounter: a horror/mystery adventure inside a dead organism, an aberrant monster capable of deflecting energy, and a mysterious dimensional amulet.

From those choices, Ed Greenwood and Elderbrain developed these ideas into a fully fledged one-shot adventure, complete with unique encounters, a fully colored map, new monsters, treasure, and all the unsettling details needed to bring the nightmare to your table.

In Coils of the Worm Undying, the characters descend into an extraordinary mine only to discover that its tunnels lead to something that should have been left untouched.

Ed dreamed up two of the adventure’s central horrors:

• The Graul — a grotesque aberrant predator whose reactive flesh adapts to incoming attacks, turning the characters’ own strengths against them.
• The Worm Undying — an ancient, impossible intelligence whose dead flesh still dreams, infecting the mine — and the minds of those who venture too deep.

Spawns of the Mindrender: Descent into Madness is coming soon to Kickstarter, expanding the themes and mechanics of Spawns into a complete toolbox for bringing insanity, psychological deterioration, and otherworldly corruption into your campaign. The sourcebook is a natural fit for Spawns of the Mindrender or any adventure dealing with topics of the mind.

📦  Fulfillment of Legacy Rewards!

We’re happy to announce that early fulfillment of legacy products has started for backers who selected Two-Wave Shipping in their surveys! Eligible rewards from Crown of the Oathbreaker, Torrents of the Spellhoarder, and Scepter of the Lightbringer have now been sent out in a mail with the subject: "Your Spawns of the Mindrender Legacy Fulfillment". Your cart is pre-set with a 100% discount and only shipping fees will be applicable.

Those who selected Single-Wave Shipping will receive their legacy rewards together with their Spawns of the Mindrender rewards when the campaign fulfills in 2027.

Coils of the Worm Undying — Almost Ready!

The Hive Mind’s adventure with legendary Forgotten Realms creator Ed Greenwood has taken another major step toward release. Coils of the Worm Undying has now been playtested, refined, and fine-tuned and is currently on our editor’s desk!

The adventure sends characters into a mine overrun by aberrant horrors, where the influence of an ancient entity has been disturbed. Many of its core elements were shaped directly by our community polls—including its setting, creatures, and strange magic.

Once editing and final production are complete, Coils of the Worm Undying will be released as a Mindscape One-Shots adventure and will also be uploaded FREE to all Spawns of the Mindrender backers.

The Worm has manifested beneath the earth. Soon, you will get to meet it."
