NEWS UPDATE: ROUND UP OF MULTIPLE NEWS ARTICLES - Cast'n'Play, Cubicle Seven Games, Warmachine, Dwarven Forge

We're doing a quick round up of articles that we wanted to let readers know about but didn't want to over flood their viewing so we have a quick summation here:

Cast'n'Play have a new Kickstarter Campaign on the go for their Death X Tiles system for a Haunted Mansion.  If you hurry you can still sign up for the STL's (sorry no physical media) for $7.

 

Cubicle Seven are having a spring sale, with up to 60% off.  A great way to pick up some bits for your various Warhammer Roleplay games whether you're into the 40K, Age of Sigmar or even the brand new Old World TTRPG.  On a side note keep an eye on your order, if it goes over £135 it will be subject to UK importation tax. 

Duncan Rhodes, from his painting academy fame, recently announced a forthcoming new game from Death Reaper Miniatures, which each week will be showcasing more and more from the world of Luminaria with exciting releases, fantastic rules, lore and much more..  To keep up to date sign up here for their newsletter.

 

Dwarven Forge in celebration of their Gamefound Project: Caverns Reforged they are doing a Caverns-specific edition of The Great Dwarven Build Off! It's a lighthearted, low stakes competition where you can make any build (max size 12x24 inches) and submit it for a chance to win a gift card--which you could use on their Caverns Reforged!

They've got several categories worth $25 each, as well as the Grand Prize of a $100 gift card. You can find all of the details of the competition and how to enter on its blog page. Submissions will be accepted until June 1st.

Two updates today from Steamforged Games Warmachine, firstly that they've had a sudden influx of Southern Kriels Kithguard, so there's fab new Kithguard Auxiliary Expansion for your army.  Lead by the indomitable Major Abraham Stormcraw it features Throatcutters and Steelbacks.

Secondly, the Cryx are creeping closer with the Mind Thief pre-order and rules — Ready to offer its sinister services across the Iron Kingdoms and the Cryx Black Fleet coming to MyMiniFactory Frontier which you can follow the campaign here which will be releasing the mini's in the fourth quarter of the year. 

Elderbrain (whose Backerkit Campaign for Spawns of the Mindrender closes in 9 days have given us an update on the voting:

"Thank you to everyone who participated in the subclass creation poll. The Hive Mind has spoken.

After the two-part vote covering both the class and its specialization, the winning combination is Ranger with the Counter Action Specialization.

We are now hard at work developing the subclass, officially titled the Monster-Breaker Conclave Ranger.

Built to counter monstrous abilities and bring down terrifying foes through skill, precision, and focused tactics, this subclass will soon be released in PDF format through a future campaign update available exclusively to backers.

Thank you again for helping us create something together. We cannot wait to show you what the Hive Mind has forged."

NEWS ROUND UP: Kickstarter Wrapping Up for Firebase: Horizon Station and Cogfort Alternate - Dark Fantastic Mills

We're doing a bit of a round up with the latest news from our friends, Dark Fantastic Mills.  Starting with their Kickstarter, Firebase: Horizon Station we wanted to remind you that it closes shortly (29th May 2026) so if you're going to want to join, you'll have to do it quickly.

Here's what they had to say about it:
"Firebase: Horizon Station has romped along, and is now entering the final week (it ends of the 29th of May).  So far we've unlocked 20 Goals (hopefully 21 or 22 by the time you read this), taking the overall number of models in the set to over 160!"

Secondly, if you're an Age of Sigmar fan, you are more than aware of the soon to be released Cogfort, and whilst a fair few people have waited, the Steam Fort from Dark Fantastic Mills range has exploded (not literally, we're not to blame for over pressurising the boiler) in popularity both in its physical Miniature and STL version, which they've shrunk to work wonderfully well with the AoS Scale.

This week, in honour of its launch, it comes in  20% less and whilst its ready now, DFM are hard at work on an Ironclad version which will be available in June.
