ROUND UP NEWS: July 6th - 12th July 2026 - Various

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Math Rocks,

To make sure we carry as much as we can, at the end of each week we have a weekly round up for people to find out about other items that haven't made a main article on the site, here is this weeks...

In Malediction news:

"
A growing Malediction community needs more than one kind of table. Local stores give players a place to return. Conventions give them a stage, a meeting point, and a chance to test what they have built in front of a wider scene.

At Lone Star Open 2026, Herald Allen Stelly is helping bring Malediction into one of those spaces.

“Players can expect four games of exciting Seeker on Seeker carnage! Everyone will walk away with some form or prize; no one goes home empty-handed. Being a Herald is exciting; while I enjoy the game itself, the community is why I am a Herald - I love meeting new people, and being a Herald enables me to do that”, said Allen.

Events like LSO give Malediction a public place to be discovered, played, and tested. Every organized event becomes a chance for players to meet, learn, compete, and carry the world of Selejia into a new room.

Join us at Lone Star Open and put your warband on the table. Or, if you want to help create more opportunities like this in your own community, become a Herald and help bring Malediction to new players, stores, and events.

The event will feature a Malediction Standard Mode 1V1 Tournament using the published organized play ruleset. Players will bring their warbands, decks, and side decks, with painted miniatures and 3D terrain encouraged but not required. The format is built to keep the tournament organized while making the path into competitive play clear for players ready to put their warbands on the table.

For Allen, the work of a Herald goes beyond running matches. It means helping players gather, learn, compete, and find a community around the game.

Across the events recorded at Mana Vault, 16 Malediction sessions have already been held, with Heralds including Jason Norman, Migual Mahr, and Patrick helping bring the game to the table. Together, they show what happens when a local store becomes a true community anchor: demos become free play, free play becomes players, and players become the foundation of a scene.

That relationship matters. Stores give players a reliable place to gather. Heralds bring the timing, teaching, and table presence needed to make those gatherings repeatable. When both sides work together, Malediction gains something stronger than a single event. It gains a local home.

For Jeffrey Ackerman, owner and operator of Mana Vault Game Shop, Malediction fits naturally into the kind of community his store is building.

“As an avid tabletop and TCG player, I’m always looking for games that bring players together in fresh ways. Malediction felt like the perfect evolution for our shop, blending strategy, creativity, and community in a way that fits exactly what we’re building at Mana Vault.”

Want to help build a strong Malediction community at your local game store, just like our Heralds and the Mana Vault team are doing in Utah? Become a Herald and help bring more players to the table where you live.

Missed the IronAndy Learn-to-Play?

IronAndy Studios recently brought Malediction to Twitch with Herald Matt, also known as Nergil, helping guide a live learn-to-play using the Two Player Starter Box. If you missed it live, the replay is a clear way to see how new players enter the game, how the starter experience flows, and how Heralds help their community to grow.

The timing is also perfect for anyone ready to start playing. The Two Player Starter Boxes are part of the current Loot Studios Anniversary deals, making this a good moment to watch the game taught, choose your side, and bring your first match to the table.  (Go here to watch how it unfolds.)

Lore Update
Finally for Malediction you can go here to see the latest news on Lore Updates.
This one here is for The Seven Rites, and this other one is for The Rite of Honour.

In a new update from Dwarven Forge:

"The Pledge Manager for Caverns Reforged is live, and will be running through August 19th! Whether you backed the campaign or not, you can grab anything in the collection and take advantage of Stretch Pay to split it up into fourth monthly installments with no interest or fees.

We've added a few things based on our backer feedback: new compositions for the Caverns Risers and Short LED Walls, as well as offering the Mine Entrance Door and Cave-In Rubble Wall as individual pieces. We also included some out-of-stock store sets like the Natural Bridge and Dock Pack.

We're over the moon with how well the campaign performed, and it's wonderful to see our Caverns line so fully-featured thanks to your support. If you've been pondering dipping a toe into this biome, we hope you'll join us!

As always, if you have any questions you can reach out to us on social media, or join the conversation on the forums or discord."

More news as we get it

Today, we're proud to bring an unpate from our friends at Converge Games for their kickstarter for "The Mad Kings Ire" which has now hit over 250% of its funding goal.  They had this to say:
"We are so grateful for everyone's support so far, and to you all for following along on our adventure!

We are also about to unlock our next Stretch Goal Premium Token Trays - make your game that much easier to get playing with this game organiser upgrade. This stretch goal was voted for by our backer community.

Our current stretch goal vote is still going but will close soon, and helps us determine our final stretch goal order!

We've had so much fun running our community story vote system and you can back now to get involved!"

More news as we get it,

NEWS ROUND UP: TTRPG, Wargame and Funding Campaign News - Various

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Math Rocks,

Whilst we wouldn't normally have more than one round up post during a week, we were wanting to do this so we could leave our Convention UKGE post available for the whole weekend so that you can find the blogs friends at the event and get to pick up some pretty sweet gear for your home.

So here we go with the last couple of days news for you:

Archvillain Games latest update (number 20) has done a deeper dive into the 3 books of the world of Death & Beyond.
The Gravelords are not just monsters. They are rulers of broken realms, tyrants of undeath, and the heart of a much larger dark fantasy universe.

BeforeArchvillain Encounters, there was Erevan’s Guide to Death & Beyond: Archvillains first Kickstarter campaign and one of the biggest creative worlds that they'd ever built which during the current Encounters Gamefound Campaign (which has 12 days left to run currently.) readers can add the books that started it all, with special campaign offers and discounted add-on options.  For more information please go here.

Dwarven Forge's Gamefound campaign, Caverns Reforged, is a week in, and they've just crossed $400k and are currently over halfway for the final stretch goal where you'll be unlocking Crystal Caverns in Ice paint for the first time!   For more info check the links in the article...

In the latest update from Steamforged Games, we've a few bits of news to talk about so lets start at the top and work our way through:

First off, Warmachine is getting a Mid-Year update after they felt that some tweaking was needed to keep the game fun and balanced for all.  With the changes in January which presented players with better gameplay, less lethality which in my opinion allowed for more push and shove rather than a one sided massacre and allowed you to really enjoy your mini's as they fought for supremacy.

June also see's the release of their monthly STL's which brings cursed fellblades, volatile rocket crews, wandering swordsmen, and enough shattered ruins to drag your tabletops straight into the wastelands of Immoren.  For more information go here.

And of course with the bright news of more fresh mini's, we have to remember that this month minicrate figure will disappear.  So if you still want Gravedigger Variant Caine, get in quickly.  From the 28th May Ghost Shaper, a haunting alternative sculpt for the Void Shaper of Dusk House Kallyss will be the key figure.

Please also remember you can catch up with Warmachine at the UKGE 2026 which our post from the 29th May will be mentioning where to find them amongst other exhibitors.

Dark Fantastic Mills have asked us to let you know about two of their updates today, firstly if you haven't yet signed up to the Horizon Zero Sci-Fi Terrain Kickstarter Campaign, its literally days short of closing.  So get in quickly.  And secondly that they've been hard at work on the Cog Fort design work to add an optional Deck Bombard and a Flame Cannon also joins the regular cannon as well as Volley Gun.  Of course because this is the first week, it does have a discount on it, so go here to get it from DFM's own Shop.

Finally before we head out, we want to wish all who are attending various Conventions this year a ton of fun and many delightful purchases but always remember to take personal safety seriously, make sure someone knows where you are going, when you're expected there and a return time.  As well as having emergency contacts should the worse happen. We hope it doesn't but it does pay to be well prepared and whilst we know that the UK weather forecast is currently that we'll be facing lower temps over this weekend, please remember to keep hydrated and fed.  Its easy to miss a meal or two with all the excitement but the last thing you want is to have your fun ruined because you're not well.

Other than that we just want to say, have a great time and please let us know all about the stars of the show, who made it for you, who you recommend and if you see some games that grab your interest please let us know so we can try and get all the latest news for you.

Once again, we wanted to thank Ramona, the designer of the beautiful page break we've been using.  You can follow her here on Bluesky and enjoy many of her art pieces or here is her website where you can also request commissions.

Elderbrain (whose Backerkit Campaign for Spawns of the Mindrender closes in 9 days have given us an update on the voting:
"Thank you to everyone who participated in the subclass creation poll. The Hive Mind has spoken.

After the two-part vote covering both the class and its specialization, the winning combination is Ranger with the Counter Action Specialization.

We are now hard at work developing the subclass, officially titled the Monster-Breaker Conclave Ranger.

Built to counter monstrous abilities and bring down terrifying foes through skill, precision, and focused tactics, this subclass will soon be released in PDF format through a future campaign update available exclusively to backers.

Thank you again for helping us create something together. We cannot wait to show you what the Hive Mind has forged."

Finally and not least, we wanted to thank Ramona, the designer of the beautiful page break we've been using.  You can follow her here on Bluesky and enjoy many of her art pieces or here is her website where you can also request commissions.

GAMEFOUND CAMPAIGN GOES LIVE TODAY: Caverns Reforged - Dwarven Forge

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Rocks,

Our friends at Dwarven Forge have let us know about their next Gamefound Project: Caverns Reforged which went live today.  This is what they've had to say:

"First and foremost, we're working some classic floors into the lineup. We'll be bringing back a 4x4 flat floor with plenty of playable space, as well as a 2x2 floor with water spouts on it to create a much more varied cavernscape.

We'll be adding anchor magnets to these pieces, as well as updating their standard paint scheme to match the caverns we've been producing since our Caverns Deep campaign. We also decided to take it one step further; all of the KS2 pieces are also being offered in Ice and Underdoom as well!

Our original Caverns campaign had a system called Narrow Passages; these were great for making tight, winding corridors. They add a lot of new functionality to our modern Passages, so we're reviving them with magnets, updated paint, and a new composition!

This set will also include the Mine Entrance door, a classic sculpt that adds a structured doorway to the biome. It'll also have an updated version of the curved corner from KS2, which lines up cleanly with the Narrow Passages and adds more variety to our caverns bread and butter. This set will also include the Mine Entrance door, a classic sculpt that adds a structured doorway to the biome. It'll also have an updated version of the curved corner from KS2, which lines up cleanly with the Narrow Passages and adds more variety to our caverns bread and butter.

The original Caverns campaign also had an entirely different lineup of Stalagmites than in Caverns Deep, and we're bringing them back as well! These sculpts (especially the Cascading Stalagmite Cluster) will let you fill your caves with all sorts of different scatter.

We have a few other classic sculpts in the works as well, all available in Standard, Ice, and Underdoom paint. We'll have more to show at launch, but hopefully this preview piqued your interest!"

As stated at the top of this article the project goes live today and with the chance to make a whole heap of chaos for your players whether you're throwing them into caverns or perhaps even the underdark, now is your chance to be able to make it not only thematic but something they'll long remember.

All the best,

ThunderMouser
