Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Rocks,
Dwarven Forge have let us have a sneak peak at their Artic Biome that they have coming for their next STL Campaign launching 27th October 2026, Here's what they had to say:
"With dunes, banks, and specialty pieces like glaciers and ice floes, there's a shocking amount of variety!

First off, all of the core pieces we shared in the Desert paint scheme from last week are also being done in Arctic, including the dunes. These bread and butter pieces will form any snowy landscape, and the Rock Formations system will let you add elevation just like it does for the Desert. We mentioned an adjustable flight stand system that would let you position minis along sloped surfaces, and you can see it above. It's a tripod-based system with an adjustable leg that lets you adjust the height, and the other legs then securely grip whatever dune you're placing them against!
With any campaign, we get plenty of questions about compatibility, and of course we wanted to ensure you could use as many of your other sets as possible with this collection. The biggest requests we got were for ways to integrate Cities and Mountain terrain. To that end, we've designed snow and sand drifts that nestle against buildings and on roofs, icicles that can be attached to biscuit slots and hung over edges, and a set of Stretch Goal "transition drifts" that let you cleanly integrate our mountain escarpments into the Arctic (as well as the desert).
Lastly, the Arctic collection has a number of unique ice sculpts, that fit into three categories: icicles, glaciers, and ice floes. Glaciers are tall chunks of ice of various organic shapes that form great cover and obstacles on a battlefield. They're also sculpted to go with the Ice Walls we've made in the past! Ice floes are flatter, designed to be floating platforms across frigid rivers. The set comes with three of various sizes, and they can nestle against and stack on top of each other to create all sorts of different shapes. And of course, all the ice is translucent, really selling the Arctic aesthetic on the table!
That's all for today; with less than two weeks to go, we can't wait to show you everything else we've cooked up for the campaign! Don't forget to follow us before launch to get a free mini added to your pledge! As always, if you have any questions you can reach out to us on social media, or join the conversation on the forums or discord." |
