Hail Mighty Readers, Followers of the Luck Gods Math Rocks, Whilst we still have time for Orktober, we managed to finish our Ork Warbikers bar the black rim base and wanted to get them up as we've taken them slightly differently with the photography. Whilst we're not Squidmar or Angel Giraldez, we have a ton of fun painting and its such a relaxing hobby that we wanted to share how we're doing so you know that what we do is achievable by everyone. So keep your chin up and keep on plugging away. We may not hit our overall Greenskin target for Orktober we are planning to keep plugging away so that we have them completed by years end. Yes painting schedules have to be fitted in when you can, yes targets can slip, but you can always keep doing a little here and there so that you achieve it in the end. We are going to keep going, we are going to get a few more done by the months end but we're not rushing to have something done that we're not proud of which is the way everyone should think.

This is a solid shot of our Ork Warbike Leader, we had a lot of fun getting him ready, painting the details as well as giving the bike some mini splats alongside it so that it was obviously very Orky.
We have a bigger pic close up of his face and we're really happy with how its come out, but let us know what you think.
All the bikers are pretty easy to put together, solid enough to clean the edges (although we've probably missed some) and with a good undercoat of black (and a slight misting of Bolt Gun Metal from Army Painter) its done a lot of the work for us.
As you can see from our close up, he's been a real joy to paint, the background is from Jon Hodgson's Planets and Nuebulae backdrops and a pretty cool artificial moss mat which (at 1m long) can be folded to give a bit of volume and allow you to get hills within. We used our Google Pixel phone to take the picture and we're planning on upgrading our photography camera in the black friday sale so that we can take pictures and stack them so that with each part of the image being in full focus, means it will come across in the photo better for all.
Yes we know that some of the parts of the pic are out of focus, yes we know how to fix it, however at the end of the day, sometimes that concentration on a specific figure really brings the image to life.
We hope that you'll keep having fun with painting, and remember any day when its dry and you have somewhere to store your mini's whilst they dry from the prime coat is a good day to get some done and with the holidays fast approaching for all, to help keep your stress levels down, make sure you have plenty of projects ready to paint that keep you inspired and encouraged so you have a great way to cope for your mental health.
More pics when we can,
All the best,
ThunderMouser
