Thornfall Alliance — Doctor's orders

Dr Arkadius is back in the lab, and frankly, Emperor Carver should be keeping a tighter leash on the good doctor.

The new Thornfall Alliance Core Expansion brings the infamous doctor back alongside a suitably unhinged collection of farrow firepower, including Road Hog, Farrow Brigands, Commandos, Sapper and the brand-new Chainbelchers.

REVEAL SHOW: Big Autumn Reveal Show - Warhammer

Everyone is currently trying to guess what each of the graffiti shots on the video mean and having rewatched carefully and having had a think, these are our guesses:

So lets take each symbol and add our guesses to the list:

Game: Horus Heresy

Faction: Adeptus Custodes

Reason:

OK so this is perhaps the most obvious one, the Latin translates to "In his/her name".  Now with it being placed on top of a Golden Banana it has to be something for the Adeptus Custodes.  We're hoping its going to be some Sisters of Silence but we suspect it will probably be something else.  As to the game, we're going for Horus Heresy.

Game: Kill Team

Faction: Legion of the Damned

Reason:

For this one, we have heard rumblings from various places in regard to there being a Kill Team Legion of the Damned box, so with the symbology, with them being mentioned in a dispatch against the Orks for Armageddon we felt that this was a good fit for this release.  What we also hope that they look at adding is an Upgrade and Transfers pack so that you can modify all other Marines that you get so that you can run a full army of them in Warhammer 40K 11th Edition.

Game: Warhammer Quest

Faction:  Orruks

Reason:

This one may be a bit controversial with a fair few people out there but when we saw the sword driven through the Squigs head we went straight to the thinking that they were going to be bringing out some new enemies for the fighters to face and possibly a new character mini or two to which the sword pertains.  

Game: Space Marine 2

Faction:  -

Reason:

This has always been a big thing with the game as they've introduced a whole heap of various classes for people to play, the Ready just makes us feel that its a computer game related thing, As such we're not 100% sure whats going to occur, but possibly some new missions and possibly some new threats to face.  After all why else would you need to check if you're ready to go?

Game: Warhammer Old World

Faction:  Tomb Kings of Khemri

Reason:

One of the worst kept secrets is that GW have been planning on releasing a load of new sculpts for the Tomb Kings, with so many of them being really old and in some cases a little cartoony against some of the other forces on the battlefield.  We're hoping for a selection of Skeleton Reinforcements, such as bringing the Death Rattle Skeletons into the battle force (after all who says the dead raised had to come from the actual faction, they may be ones that were killed during a later incursion.) and some armoured horse-skeletons.

Game: Necromunda

Faction:  Imperial Guard

Reason:

In Necromunda Corpse Starch is one of the key things that is produced to feed the many.  The corpse guild are the ones behind it, so it is entirely possible that we could get either a military style faction to face off against with Imperial Guard weaponry/look or it could be some undead augmented servants that are part machine, part human body.  We can't wait to find out but are hoping for the later.

Game: Warhammer: Age of Sigmar

Faction:  Khazalite Holds

Reason:

Warhammer themselves are the reason of this philosophy.  On Sunday, an error was made that revealed a ton of new Dwarves in a banner on their own website, that had Golems, new infantry and of course some new heroes (including what looks to be a female hero.)

NEWS: Pre-orders for the Old Dominion and Sorcerer Kings - Para Bellum Games

Old Dominion: Tainted Heralds - 

Some of the greatest Heroes and Saints of the Dominion, collectively known as Heralds, were not buried in the grand mausoleums and sepulchers of their predecessors. Their treated remains were encased in stone and metal, becoming ornate statues that provided comfort and solace to their followers long after death. Hazlia’s Fall innervated their remains, but for centuries they remained trapped in the protective casings. Only an incredibly high concentration of Hazlia’s Dark Power can grant these forms mobility, coursing through their skeletal limbs as dark flame to move their heavy structures while softening the metal. On the battlefield, once exposed to enough power, their blows are unstoppable, their flesh impervious, and their effectiveness uncontested.

Old Dominion: Fallen Angels -

The Fallen Pantheon was not composed only of divinities. Countless angels, seraphs, cherubs, thorns, powers, and principalities were incarnated to serve their will and needs. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of these were destroyed during the Fall, but a few proved more resilient. Individually named and revered, their shrines and statues became loci of power and belief, allowing them to retain a toehold in the Prime Domain after the Theomachy that culled the Pantheon immediately following the Fall. Awakened by the rituals of the ever faithful or commanded by their Fallen Divinities their heavy bodies can soar through the heavens, their memories of flight strong enough to overcome the laws of the world as they Herald the arrival of their Gods in a torrent of bloodshed and murder.

Sorcerer Kings: Eternal Destroyers - 

There are those Eternals that see perfection as the ultimate goal of all Creation. Since they are perfect, why can’t all of Creation be? They have taken upon themselves the heavy burden imposed by their perfection: removing all imperfection from the Domains so that Creation might not be sullied by their presence while making room for more of those things and creatures that they deem worthy. Over untold millennia of open conflict with everything they have become formidable warriors by necessity, as inferior creatures, unable to understand their own inequity, often resist their merciful destruction. Coupled with their incredible resilience and ability to restore themselves, they make unstoppable foes on the battlefield.

Sorcerer Kings: Eternal Ikons - 

There are few creatures as difficult to deal with as the Eternals of the Earth Domain. Possessed of an unfathomable conviction of their own perfection, these powerful elementals cannot be forced or cajoled, their innate arrogance makes them incredibly resistant to this type of overt manipulation. Their ego, though, does make them susceptible to flattery and subterfuge, allowing powerful sorcerers to lay traps for them to willingly blunder into. They are commonly used as guardians and protectors of key structures or locations simply so their summoner doesn’t have to deal with their insufferable nature. When gainsaid, insulted, or god forbid, their perfect forms are damaged, they become infuriated, drawing on the very strength of the earth to renew their form and crush their foes.

Sorcerer Kings 2026 Starter: One Player Starter Set

Having unlocked the Elemental Domains of Primordial Balance, the sorcerous cabal that caused Hazlia’s Fall fled the destruction of Capitas across a chain of volcanic islands they raised. Forced, ultimately, to raise an entire continent from the very seafloor, the people they saved would see their Kings turn the new, barren and desolate lands into flourishing realms. Today, the Elemental Courts of Erme, Who moves the Oceans, Dyelin, Pyre of Gods and Men, Hormus, Who Lays Mountains Low, and Alessa, Weaver of Winds and Fates, thrive side by side their reflections in the Elemental Domains – while their Enclaves remain locked in a constant pursuit of knowledge, artistry, military and, above all, sorcerous might to support their masters’ purpose: absolute control over the Elements, so that they can preserve and rule Balance’s Domain – the world.

KICKSTARTER: Wyldwood - Tabletop Titans

 

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Math Rocks,

We have been watching Tabletop Titans for a while now since we heard about Wyldwood from UKGE 2026 and wanted to help support their fundraising on Kickstarter for a number of reasons.  Firstly they have been keeping everyone fully updated about what they've been up to before the campaign launches (which it just has within the last 10 minutes) and secondly, the way that they've planned it.

"We began factory prototyping more than 8 months ago, and since then we've completed multiple rounds of prototypes and revisions with our manufacturing partner. Every miniature has been prototyped, every printed component has been proofed, and we've spent months finding and fixing problems before asking you to back the project."

In addition to this, it isn't their first time fundraising for a project, they've already done it two times before.  

Here is their schedule for once the kickstarter ends:

"October 15 — Kickstarter ends

We'll use the following two weeks to finalize quantities, complete the Kickstarter payment process and place our final production order.

First week of November — Manufacturing begins

Miniature production is expected to take approximately six months. Cards, boxes, tokens and other printed components will be manufactured simultaneously and are expected to require less time.

Approximately May 2027 — Manufacturing complete

Once production and final QC are complete, products will be loaded for ocean freight to our regional fulfillment warehouses.

Approximately 60 days — Ocean freight

We're budgeting approximately 60 days for freight, customs and delivery from China to our regional warehouses in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.

Approximately 2 weeks — Final fulfillment

Once inventory reaches the regional warehouses, we expect the majority of individual backer shipments to leave the warehouses within approximately two weeks.

That schedule also contains some contingency because international manufacturing and freight can always encounter unexpected delays.

That is a total of 8 months time taking us to completion around June. To give us a bit of extra time for something to go wrong we are going to quote delivery in August 2027 for all products to all backers. The extra 60 days allows for something unforeseen to happen and us still to deliver on schedule. 

One Exception: The Wyldwood Source Book

There is one component that isn't completely finished, our premium hardcover Wyldwood Source Book.

The book itself is well underway, but we're still completing several stories and pieces of artwork. We want the book to include dozens great stories a huge number of original artworks and that project needs more time. We expect to finish the design of the sourcebook by December 2026 and put it into printing at that time. Given the book is easy to print (compared to miniatures) we may still be able to ship it along with everything else, but we are highlighting that it could take 1-2 months extra to ship. Adding a source book to your order will not delay the shipping of your other items. 

We Want to Set the Standard for How Smooth A Kickstarter Project Can Be

We took the time and the financial risk to build and prototype Wyldwood so that our customers did not have to take risk. We’ve heard a lot recently from many people about horror stories of projects they’ve backed that have gone wrong. We plan for Wyldwood will be the one example everyone else strives to be like.

NEWS: Mental Health Time: Now is the Winter of Our Success - Totally Pawsome

Hail Mighty Readers and Followers of the Luck Gods Math Rocks, 

Whilst we the Bernard Hill as King Théoden Meme is a bit of a joke, at this time of year we like to look forward a little and help people out with their mental health.  Whilst we're not therapists, one of the things that we do over the Holiday Period is be online for people in case they need someone to talk to, someone to listen to them as, and lets be honest here, many of us don't have the Hallmark Family Holidays that are put across every year with a fair few of us having to spend it alone either for mental health or just because we have no where to go.

This is another reason we're putting together a post like this so early, it gives us all time to prepare as Eddard Stark says, Winter is Coming.  If you're a miniature fan, painter and either have a pile of potential or a ton of miniatures that you've been dying to get to.  Take the time now to start getting them prepped, snipped, filed and primed and have them ready to tackle over the next few months.  Get those paints in that you feel you need, get those brushes you've been promising yourself and lets make this, our winter of miniature fulfilment rather than our one of discontent for not getting things done.  

All round, we're going to lead by example, and hope to put together our list of Winter Painting as a PDF, with photo's, regular updates and hope you'll join in and as a fandom, encourage each other to not only talk when down but to take some me time to help get some of your on going projects a little closer to completion.
